Job Purpose: To assume the same status as the Event Controller during absences. A Deputy Event Controller will monitor all the aspects of the event and has the authority to stop or delay the event should any emergency occur that threatens the safety or wellbeing of the event participants, spectators or staff. Deputy Event Controllers typically work closely with all staff, volunteers and contractors ialong with the Event Controller, Statutory Agencies and Event Management Team.
